During the raid, the suspect violently resisted arrest, obstructing the duties of the STF personnel and attempting to assault the officers on the scene. Despite his resistance, officers managed to apprehend the suspect and subsequently admitted him to a local hospital for medical attention.
However, the situation escalated further when the suspect managed to escape from hospital custody. A mobile patrol officer spotted the fleeing suspect and intercepted him. In a desperate bid to evade re-arrest, the suspect engaged in a physical struggle with the officer and attempted to snatch his service firearm.
A shot was discharged during the scuffle, injuring the suspect. The police took immediate steps to re-arrest the individual and readmit him to the hospital under security. According to police sources, a police officer was also injured during the confrontation and is currently receiving medical treatment.
