The Ministry of Energy says compensation payments for employees who voluntarily resigned during the restructuring process of the Ceylon Electricity Board will commence today ( 15).
According to the Ministry, a total allocation of Rs. 8.9 billion has been made to facilitate the compensation programme.
Nearly 1,600 employees who opted for voluntary retirement under the restructuring initiative are expected to receive their compensation payments today.
