According to the department, residents in Divulapitiya, Meerigama, Attanagalla, Mahara, Gampaha, Minuwangoda, Ja-Ela, Katana, and Wattala should remain vigilant as rising water levels may lead to minor flooding in low-lying areas.

Authorities stated that continuous rainfall has increased the risk of water levels rising further in the Attanagalu Oya and Uruwal Oya catchment areas.

People living in flood-prone and low-lying regions have been advised to exercise caution and stay alert to possible flooding situations. The Department of Irrigation also urged the public to be careful while traveling and carrying out daily activities in affected areas.

Residents are encouraged to follow official updates and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
