The decision was taken following instructions issued by the Central Province Director of Education. Hatton Zonal Director of Education (Acting), A. Sumathi, has informed all principals within the zone regarding the holiday announcement.
Authorities stated that the closure was made in consideration of student safety and the adverse weather conditions currently affecting the area.
