Earlier, railway operations on the Puttalam line had been limited only up to Chilaw after floodwaters submerged sections of the railway track near the Thilladi Railway Station.
Railway authorities stated that the affected tracks have now been cleared and inspected, allowing regular train services to resume along the route.
