The competition brings together winners of major international beauty pageants, including Miss Grand, Miss Universe, and Miss World. Participation is limited to titleholders from around 80 countries, making it one of the most exclusive global pageant events. This year’s edition will take place in Bangkok from May 16 to May 30.
Perera, who won the 2025 Miss Grand Sri Lanka title, is a Business Management graduate and is currently pursuing postgraduate studies.
She departed on SriLankan Airlines flight UL-404 at 7:25 a.m. on May 14.
The Sri Lankan National Director and coach for the pageant, Rukmal Senanayake, along with her parents, were present at Katunayake Airport to see her off and extend their best wishes ahead of the international competition.
