Speaking at a press conference held in Colombo yesterday (13), the leader of the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya said that any individual who assists or encourages a witness to commit suicide could face severe legal consequences under the country’s Penal Code.
He further said the importance of protecting witnesses and ensuring the proper implementation of the law in such cases.
