Traffic restrictions are expected on the night of May 7 during the presidential motorcade from Bandaranaike International Airport to central Colombo. Additional restrictions will be in place on the morning and evening of May 8 during official visits to the Presidential Secretariat, Colombo Public Library, Parliament of Sri Lanka and the President’s House.
Police said heavy vehicles will be prohibited on affected routes two hours before VIP movements, while other vehicles may face temporary restrictions during convoy transit. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes and cooperate with authorities to minimize inconvenience.
