Through Senior Counsel G.G. Arulpragasam, Thushara has requested the court to issue a compelling order directing SLC to grant him a “no objection” letter, enabling him to participate in international franchise leagues, including the Indian Premier League in 2026.
The complaint was taken up before the Colombo District Court today (02), where the court ordered that the matter be called again on April 09 for consideration of facts. Notice has also been issued to the respondents.
Sri Lanka Cricket Chairman Shammi Silva, Secretary Bandula Dissanayake, Treasurer Sujeewa Godaliyadda, and CEO Ashley de Silva have been named as respondents in the complaint.
