According to GMOA Secretary, Dr. Prabath Sugathadasa, the strike is being carried out across hospitals island-wide.
However, the union stated that services will continue uninterrupted at maternity hospitals, children’s hospitals, the Apeksha Hospital Maharagama, specialized kidney units, tri-forces hospitals, and the National Institute of Mental Health.
