Batik Air Malaysia has launched new flight operations to Sri Lanka, adding Colombo to its growing international network and boosting air connectivity in the region.
The airline began services to Colombo on March 30, 2026, operating four weekly flights, according to Bandaranaike International Airport.
Industry observers say the new route is set to improve travel convenience for passengers while also contributing to increased tourism flows and strengthening commercial and diplomatic ties between Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
