The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has announced that the final decision on the electricity tariff revision for the second quarter of 2026 will be released this afternoon (30).
Accordingly, the official announcement regarding the new tariff revision is scheduled to be made at a special media briefing to be held at 2:00 PM today.
The PUCSL stated that the final decision was reached after considering public opinions and proposals gathered over the past few days.
The revision is expected to introduce changes to tariffs across domestic, commercial, and industrial electricity usage categories. Experts note that these adjustments could have a direct impact on the cost of living for the public.
