The Navy also arrested 10 suspects on board the vessels, all reportedly residents of the Southern Province.
The boats were identified during a special operation conducted recently using long-range Navy vessels. On one of the fishing boats, authorities discovered a large quantity of drugs weighing over 600 kilograms, along with 8 pistols with magazines, 2 T56 rifles, and an M16 rifle. The M16-type firearm is typically reserved for special security force personnel.
Officials suspect the second fishing boat was monitoring the first vessel to provide support.
