The IGP formally received the equipment at the Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs. The consignment includes:

1,718 computer systems valued at Rs. 365 million

575 photocopy machines worth Rs. 129 million

Speed-measuring devices valued at Rs. 45 million

1,750 UPS units worth Rs. 17 million

The primary purpose of these technological resources is to streamline the duties of officers engaged in high-demand police services.

Officials noted that this is the most valuable consignment of equipment received by the police in recent times. The handover ceremony was attended by senior officials, including Secretary of the Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, retired Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Ravi Senavirathna, and Director of the Ministry Coordination Division, Senior Police Officer Palitha Amarathunga.
