The President and the Sri Lankan delegation left for New Delhi from Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake, on SriLankan Airlines flight UL-195 at 2.05 p.m.
The five-day summit, held under the patronage of Prime Minister Modi, seeks to promote the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence for the benefit of humanity. According to the Presidential Media Division, President Dissanayake is scheduled to address the summit on February 19.
Heads of state from 20 countries and representatives from over 45 nations are expected to attend the event, which will deliberate on the future trajectory of artificial intelligence and its application in addressing global challenges.
During his visit, President Dissanayake is also expected to hold bilateral discussions with several world leaders, including Prime Minister Modi, aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic cooperation.
