A new hotline, 1904, has been introduced to swiftly report complaints and difficulties encountered when accessing essential services across the country.

According to the Office of the Commissioner General of Essential Services, the dedicated number will enable the public to report issues related to electricity supply, hospital and emergency medical services, public transport and logistics, water supply and sanitation, food and essential goods, telecommunications and ICT services, as well as irrigation and other critical public services listed under Extraordinary Gazette No. 2464/29.

The initiative aims to ensure timely responses to complaints received during emergencies or service disruptions, while improving coordination and enabling more efficient solutions, the office stated.

All calls made to 1904 will be handled by the Operations Centre of the Commissioner General of Essential Services. Complaints will be verified, prioritized, and promptly forwarded to the relevant operational teams for necessary action, the office further noted.
