A dense fog blanketed the Nuwara Eliya area from early this morning (20), severely affecting daily life and vehicular movement, according to reports from the region.
The Nanu Oya Police stated that the thick fog persists along the Hatton–Nuwara Eliya main road and nearby byroads, making driving conditions hazardous.
Traffic officers have urged motorists to switch on their front headlights and drive with extreme caution.
