The ‘Pulathisi’ Intercity Express Train, en route from Batticaloa to Colombo Fort, derailed this morning near the Colombo Fort Railway Station.
Sri Lanka Railways confirmed the incident and said the derailment occurred as the train approached the station. No injuries have been reported so far, and authorities are investigating the cause while working to restore normal rail services.
