Sri Lanka's ambitious 'Clean Sri Lanka' initiative was officially launched today at the Presidential Secretariat, under the guidance of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. The program aims to inspire a transformation in the nation's environmental and social attitudes, focusing on creating a morally clean and sustainable country.

The 'Clean Sri Lanka' initiative is a nationwide effort designed to instill new values and behaviors that transcend political boundaries. The program seeks to improve the quality of life for all citizens, fostering a spirit of national unity and social responsibility.

In line with this launch, the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government issued a special circular to key government officials, including Secretaries of Ministries, Provincial Chief Secretaries, Heads of Departments, and leaders of State Corporations and Statutory Boards. This circular directs them to align their duties with the goals of the 'Clean Sri Lanka' national program, which is focused on building a 'Prosperous Country' and ensuring a 'Beautiful Life' for every Sri Lankan.

The program is part of the government’s broader vision to create a cleaner, greener, and more morally conscious society, where citizens contribute to the well-being of their communities and the environment.
