GCE Advance -Level examination will begin today

The Examinations Department has announced that the GCE A-Level examination will begin today, November 25th. The exams will be held across 2,312 centers with 333,183 applicants in total. Of these 253,390 are school candidates while 79,793 are private candidates.

Examination Commissioner General, Amit Jayasundara, has emphasized that only the examination hall presidents will be permitted to use mobile phones inside the exam halls.

 Assistant principals and other staff members are prohibited from using mobile phones within the examination centers.

The Disaster Management Centre has assured that all required measures are being taken to ensure that students sitting for the G.C.E Advanced Level examination are able to travel to their respective examination centres, despite the prevailing inclement weather.
