The event brought together senior UAE officials, members of the diplomatic community, business leaders, representatives of the tea industry and tea enthusiasts, highlighting the cultural, economic and global significance of Ceylon Tea.
Organized as a platform to promote Sri Lanka’s tea heritage and strengthen international engagement, the programme featured a celebration of the country’s long-standing reputation as one of the world’s leading tea producers.
The event was attended by Dr. Ahmed Mukhtar, Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to the United Arab Emirates, who participated as the Chief Guest.
The gathering also served to highlight the contribution of Ceylon Tea to Sri Lanka’s economy and its enduring presence in global markets, while promoting stronger trade and cultural ties between Sri Lanka and the UAE.
