A significant milestone in Sri Lanka’s education reform was marked today with the launch of the National Curriculum Framework for Early Childhood Education at the Ministry of Education. The event was held under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya

The framework, developed by the National Institute of Education (NIE), was also officially introduced on the NIE’s website. It aims to address disparities in early childhood education across the country by introducing a uniform curriculum for preschools and early learning centres of varying standards. The initiative aligns with global educational agendas and prioritises the overall well-being and development of Sri Lankan children in their early years.
