Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, announced that under the new regulations, a maximum price limit will be implemented for each category of pharmaceutical drugs, aiming to ensure affordability and transparency in the pharmaceutical sector.
The Minister emphasized that the new system will help prevent excessive pricing and protect consumers from unjustified cost variations across medical products.
Meanwhile, Dr. Jayatissa also assured that no changes will be made to the name or colour of the ‘Suwaseriya’ Ambulance Service, reaffirming the government’s commitment to maintaining the service’s identity and continuity.
