The Examinations Commissioner General, H. J. M. C. Amit Jayasunda, has officially announced that the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination will be held on August 10, 2025.
The Commissioner General emphasized that online applications for the examination will be accepted from April 4, 2025, to April 30, 2025. Applicants are reminded that the online registration portal will close promptly at 12:00 midnight on April 30, 2025, and the deadline will not be extended under any circumstances.
Eligibility for the examination is limited to students currently enrolled in Grade 5 at a government school or a government-approved school. Only students under the age of 11 as of January 31, 2026, who come from low-income families, are eligible to receive bursaries through this scholarship.
