The 14th edition of the Medicare International Healthcare Exhibition 2025 was officially opened yesterday by Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo.

The event, Sri Lanka’s premier healthcare exhibition, is set to run until Sunday, offering a comprehensive platform to educate the public and showcase the latest innovations in healthcare, medical technology, wellness, and medical tourism.

This year’s exhibition features over 150 stalls, with both local and international exhibitors, making it a significant event for the healthcare industry. Organized by the Asia Wellness Forum in collaboration with Aitken Spence Conventions and Exhibitions, the exhibition brings together healthcare experts from around the world, providing an opportunity for professionals to network and learn about the latest advancements in the sector.

In his welcome speech, Medicare 2025 Organizing Committee Chairman Dr. Amal Harsha de Silva emphasized the importance of the exhibition in fostering collaboration within the healthcare community. “We have all the giants in the local medical field in this audience, which is overwhelming and an honor to Medicare 2025,” said Dr. de Silva. “As medical professionals, we are often engrossed in our day-to-day duties, but Medicare is a fantastic platform to showcase the advancements in healthcare and provide access to services for the public to witness firsthand.”

The event promises to be a key highlight for both medical professionals and the general public, offering insights into the future of healthcare in Sri Lanka and beyond.
