In addition to the nursing officers' protest, the Public Health Inspectors' (PHIs) Association has also joined the wave of discontent. Upul Rohana, President of the PHIs Association, confirmed that PHIs in the Eastern Province would engage in a token strike today. The protest involves reporting sick leave to express their dissatisfaction with a decision limiting overtime (OT) hours.
