Mainly fair weather will dominate the sea areas surrounding the island. Winds will be from the northeast, with speeds of 25-35 km/h. Wind speeds may reach 45-50 km/h at times in the sea areas off the coasts between Colombo and Mannar (via Puttalam) and from Matara to Pottuvil (via Hambantota).
Sea Conditions: The sea areas off the coasts extending from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam, and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota, will experience fairly rough conditions at times.
