Fairly strong winds of (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over Eastern slope of the central hills and Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Matale and Hambantota districts.

Rain Condition:
Showers or thundershowers are expected at several places in the sea areas off the coasts from Batticaloa to Colombo via Hambantota and Galle. Occasional showers may also occur in a few other sea areas around the island.
Winds:
Winds will be from the north-east, with speeds ranging from 25-35 kmph. In some areas off the coasts from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota, wind speeds may occasionally increase to 50-55 kmph.
Sea Conditions:
The sea will be fairly rough at times in the areas off the coasts from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
During thundershowers, temporary gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected in these areas.
