The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has announced plans to carry out raids across the country to identify and take action against traders who are selling rice above the maximum price set by the government.
The authority emphasized that strict legal action will be pursued against any traders found to be violating the price regulations.
Consumers who encounter rice being sold at inflated prices are urged to report such incidents by calling the CAA's hotline at 1977. This initiative aims to protect consumers and ensure that rice prices remain within the government-approved limits.
