The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has extended the deadline for submitting income tax returns for the 2023/2024 assessment year to December 7, 2024.
Initially, the deadline was set for November 30. However, due to disruptions caused by adverse weather in several areas, the IRD decided to grant taxpayers additional time.
In a statement, the department assured taxpayers that no penalties or legal action would be imposed for submissions made on or before the new deadline.
Tax returns must be submitted exclusively through the IRD’s online system. The department also provides technical assistance at its head office, regional, and city offices for those needing help with the process.
