Muhammadu Sali Naleem has been officially sworn in as a Member of Parliament, representing the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) under the National List. The swearing-in ceremony took place in the presence of Speaker Mr. Ashoka Ranwala.
In the recently concluded parliamentary elections, the SLMC secured 87,038 votes, earning two seats in Parliament. Naleem’s appointment marks a significant addition to the party’s representation in the legislative body.
The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress continues to play an important role in representing the interests of the Muslim community within the country’s political landscape.
