Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa met Japanese Ambassador Akio Isomata yesterday (December 1) to discuss possibilities of reviving development projects suspended by the previous government.

Premadasa pledged full support to restart these initiatives, emphasizing cooperation with Japan.

Earlier, the Japanese government said that any new projects depend on requests from Sri Lanka and its economic stability.

The Japanese Embassy highlighted Current priorities include completing 11 ongoing projects, such as the Bandaranaike International Airport expansion, which are progressing well after debt restructuring.
