A total of 26 foreigners were arrested this morning (26th)in Colombo by a team from the Investigation Department of the Immigration Department.
They were found staying illegally in a temporary hostel located in the Kirulapon area.
The arrested individuals include 16 Bangladeshi nationals, 2 Pakistani nationals, 2 Burundian nationals, and one national each from India, the Philippines, Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Nepal. Immigration officials have confirmed the arrests.
