Dense fog that was spurred by prevailing rainfall in the western slopes of central hills is reported to be causing disruption to traffic on the road.
The police have advised the motorists to drive cautiously at a low speed, with headlights turned on, as the dense fog reduces the visibility along the road.
Hatton Colombo main road from Kitulgala to Hatton, from Hatton to Nuwara Eliya and side roads due to this thick frost condition has hindered the movement of vehicular traffic.
Reportedly, at several locations along the road, the motorists had been unable to discern the vehicles arriving from the opposite direction, due to the dense fog that arose from adverse weather conditions
