The Fort Magistrate's Court has ordered the release of former MP Sujeewa Senasinghe's luxury vehicle on a bond of Rs. 100 million today (November 25).

On November 8, Senasinghe was instructed to take the SUV to the government analyst after a tip-off to the Walana Anti-Corruption Task Force raised concerns about the vehicle's assembly.

The vehicle, currently in court custody, was seized on November 11 by the CID following allegations that it was illegally assembled. The court had earlier instructed the CID to hand over the vehicle to the Government Analyst’s Department for a detailed report.

The luxury car, estimated to be worth around Rs. 100 million, was believed to have been assembled unlawfully.
