The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is expected to release an official statement today (November 23) regarding the third review under its Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program.

The announcement will likely include details of a Staff-Level Agreement on economic policies tied to the review's conclusion.

The Government of Sri Lanka confirmed that discussions on the third review under the IMF’s Extended Fund Facility program were successfully completed yesterday (November 22) at a meeting held at the Presidential Secretariat.

The discussions involved an IMF delegation led by Senior Mission Chief Peter Breuer and a Sri Lankan government team headed by Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Professor Anil Jayantha Fernando.

Both parties have described the review process as successful, paving the way for further progress under the EFF program.
