Former State Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan, also known as Pilleyan, arrived at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this morning (November 20).
He was summoned by the CID to give a statement about the controversial documentary aired by the British television network Channel 4. The documentary focused on the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks in Sri Lanka, raising serious questions and allegations.
Authorities are investigating the claims made in the documentary, and Pilleyan’s statement is part of ongoing inquiries into the matter.
