The Department of Examinations has banned invigilators from carrying mobile phones into GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examination halls. Only the chief invigilator and additional chief invigilator at each center are allowed to use mobile phones.
This rule has been introduced to address issues reported in previous years.
Supervision for the exam has been intensified, involving officers from the Examination Department, provincial, and zonal offices. Each supervisor will oversee 20 examination centers within a 15-day period.
The GCE A/L exam is scheduled to take place from November 25 to December 20, with extensive preparations underway to ensure smooth operations.
