The Department of Posts has suspended the issuance of Rs. 500,000 postage stamps to each Parliamentarian with immediate effect. All former MPs have been requested to return any unused stamps which were provided to them free of charge.
The department stated that these stamps must be handed over to Parliament, as their usage is now unlawful following the dissolution of Parliament.
