President Wickremesinghe says the issue over the Inspector General of Police will be resolved in a week.
He said that he will have a discussion with Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena and the Attorney General.
President wickramesinghe said that he will resolve the issue and ensure a free and fair election in September.
President while attending the ‘Jayagamu Sri Lanka’ Colombo district program at the Homagama today also stated that he is not willing to move the Presidential Election beyond September 21 and that arrangements will be made to hold the election on the scheduled date.
