The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has announced a series of special raids aimed at identifying vendors who are not passing on the benefits of recent reductions in electricity tariffs, LP Gas, and fuel prices to consumers.
According to CAA Chairman Thusitha Indrajith, investigative officers have been instructed to carry out these island-wide raids in the coming days.
The inspections will target hotels, restaurants, and other trade outlets, ensuring that the reduced prices of goods and services are clearly displayed and accessible to consumers.
"We are committed to making sure that the recent price reductions directly benefit the public," Indrajith stated.
