Chairman Sena Yaddehige of Richard Pieris Group will face arrest upon his return to the country in connection with allegations of sexually abusing a female business analyst from the company.
The Kollupitiya Police secured a travel ban against Yaddehige from the Fort Magistrate following the complaint.
According to Kollupitiya Police officials, there have been no updates on the Chairman's whereabouts. They said the suspect would be arrested upon arrival due to the imposed travel ban.
The 39-year-old complainant, a Colombo resident, alleged that the incident occurred on May 7 at a star-class hotel in Kollupitiya, shortly after Yaddehige's return to Sri Lanka.
The woman, who had been working remotely as a business analyst, reported that the Chairman had requested a meeting upon his return, during which she claimed the abuse took place. Following her report to the Kollupitiya Police, the case was forwarded to the Fort Magistrate for further action.
Sources said that Yaddehige left the country on the same day as the incident and has not yet returned.
