Police have seized two luxury SUVs and a 1000cc motorcycle in Kandy, suspecting that the vehicles, which bore forged number plates, may have been smuggled or locally assembled. The owners will face arrest pending further investigations.
A senior police official said that the seized vehicles, including a Defender, a Prado, and a 1000cc motorcycle (which is not permitted for use in Sri Lanka), are collectively valued at approximately Rs. 60 million.
