The Arthur C. Clarke Centre has announced plans to launch a satellite next year.
This significant development was revealed by Professor Chandana Jayaratne, Director of the Astronomy and Space Science Unit at Colombo University's Physics Department and Chairman of the Arthur C. Clarke Institute for Modern Technologies.
During a programme aimed at educating school students about satellite technology, Professor Jayaratne emphasized the need for further infrastructure development to enhance the understanding of satellite technology among schoolchildren.
He highlighted the importance of equipping the younger generation with knowledge and skills in this advanced field as Sri Lanka moves forward with its space exploration efforts.
