The Sri Lanka Railways Station Masters’ Union has announced a strike commencing from midnight today, July 9th, impacting several key train services across the country. 

According to the Department of Railways, the strike will lead to the cancellation of several trains, including the night mail services connecting Colombo Fort to Badulla, Trincomalee, and Batticaloa, as well as the night mail service to Rambukkana.

Passengers are advised to make alternative travel arrangements and stay updated on further developments regarding the strike action. The Department of Railways has yet to announce details regarding the duration of the strike and any potential negotiations to resolve the situation.
