A report has been submitted to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) concerning several irregularities uncovered during the current G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) examinations, Examinations Commissioner General, H.J.M.C. Amith Jayasundara said.
According to Jayasundara, incidents have been identified at two examination venues in Colombo and one in Hasalaka.
It has been reported that certain candidates attempted to access answers for the English question paper using smartphones and subsequently shared them with others. The invigilators at these centers confiscated the mobile phones.
Nevertheless, the Commissioner General highlighted that he had officially lodged complaints with the police stations in the respective areas where the affected examination centers are situated.
