Police have launched an investigation into an incident where an individual exposed himself to a female tourist at Piyadigama beach in Ahangama.
The tourist reported to the police that she was walking along the beach with her two-year-old son and a ten-year-old Sri Lankan boy when the suspect lifted his sarong and exposed himself.
Police have identified the suspect through CCTV footage in the area and are in the process of apprehending him.
Officer-in-Charge of the Crime Investigation Branch, IP G.S. Priyankara, is overseeing the investigation under the directives of Officer-in-Charge of Ahangama Police, CI Nalaka Jayaweera.
