In a tragic incident early this morning at Vasanthanagar in Mankulam, one soldier lost his life, and nine others sustained injuries when a lorry collided with an army cab.
According to the police, the lorry, traveling from Mankulam to Kilinochchi, crashed into the cab ahead of it.
The injured soldiers were rushed to Kilinochchi Hospital, where one of them succumbed to injuries upon admission.
The deceased, a 39-year-old sergeant of the Sri Lanka Army attached to the Murukkandi Army Camp, tragically lost his life in the accident.
Police arrested the lorry driver in connection with the incident.
