The well-known Sinhala lecturer and prominent social activist Upul Shantha Sannasgala has been arrested by the Kandana police amidst allegations of financial impropriety.
Authorities have disclosed that Sannasgala stands accused of deceiving an individual, purportedly defrauding them of Rs. 1 million under the guise of funding a film production.
