The Meteorology Department has issued a weather advisory indicating the likelihood of showers and thundershowers in several provinces and districts of Sri Lanka.
In parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, and North-western provinces, as well as Galle and Matara districts, showers or thundershowers are expected after 2.00 p.m.
Furthermore, a few places in the North-central and Northern provinces may experience showers or thundershowers in the afternoon or at night.
Coastal areas from Puttalam to Galle via Colombo can anticipate showers or thundershowers in the morning.
Fairly heavy showers, with rainfall of about 75 mm, are forecasted in some areas of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in Galle and Matara districts.
Misty conditions are anticipated in certain locations within Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Uva provinces, as well as in Ampara district during the morning hours.
